Breakfast at the vets
by Paul Campbell
The Vet Centre clinics across the Kaipara fired up the barbecues last week to shout their farmer clients a hot breakfast meal, with farm dogs included.
“We know farming and calving is a bit of a stressful time — so we decided on the event,” said Mangaturoto manager, Shannon Patterson. In all, we served up about 400 bacon and egg muffins, so it was a very successful morning. For the most part, the dogs ate separately from their bosses, with one well-behaved black and white, named Penny, pictured with the guests and vet staff at Maungaturoto.
