Car and bike fundraiser

Children climb aboard an World War II vintage half-track vehicle at last year’s car and bike show

The annual Maungaturoto Primary School car and bike show will be held on November 26 with a number of displays and activities available from 10am-1.30pm.

Organiser Colin Storey said anyone was welcome to enter their vehicles into the show.

“This year all the money raised from the event will go towards enriching the children’s learning and assist their education,” he said.

Entertainment on the day will be provided by the school’s kapa haka group and Otamatea High School’s jazz band. “We will be having prizes for the ‘people’s choice car and bike’ donated by Gas Maungaturoto. There will be the Ryco V8 car simulator and a prize for the fastest lap,” said Colin.

A tyre changing machine will also be on display with a prize going to the person who gets the quickest change.
