Police appeal to public for information on Dargaville assaul

Police are appealing to the public for information regarding a male who was assaulted and had his vehicle stolen on Tuesday, September 18.

Between 10.15–10.40pm on Tuesday night, the victim left an address on Plunket Street travelling towards Dargaville Hospital via one of the three adjoining streets.

During that trip he was assaulted and sustained a blow to the head. His vehicle, a distinctive orange/copper metallic coloured Lexus IS200 saloon, was then stolen and found crashed and burnt out on Victoria Street, near the Northern Wairoa Bridge a short time later.
